Spin the Bottle with Mijita Wine Company

Saturday, March 28 | 2–6 PM | Portland Wine Company

Our Spin the Bottle Guest Winemaker Series keeps rolling this month, and we’re excited to welcome Lizzy Esqueda of Mijita Wine Company to the tasting room on Saturday, March 28 from 2–6 PM.

Founded in 2021, Mijita Wine Company is a tiny but mighty label producing just 200–300 cases a year at a cooperative winery alongside a handful of other small producers. Lizzy focuses on sourcing fruit from sustainably farmed and organic vineyards across the Pacific Northwest, with the belief that the real magic of winemaking happens out in the vineyard. The farmers and vineyard stewards who nurture these sites all year long are at the heart of every bottle.

In the cellar, Lizzy takes a light-touch approach, aging wines in neutral barrels to let the fruit and soils of the Pacific Northwest shine through. The result is fresh, vibrant wines that are expressive, balanced, and incredibly food-friendly.

Lizzy will be pouring a lineup that shows the range of what Mijita is doing:

  • 2022 Pinot Noir – Zenith Vineyard (Eola-Amity Hills)

  • 2023 Cabernet Franc – Weets Vineyard (Yakima Valley)

  • 2023 Gamay Noir – Jubilee Vineyard (Eola-Amity Hills)

If you’ve been enjoying our Spin the Bottle events, you know the vibe: casual, social, and a chance to meet the real humans behind the wines. Stop by, grab a glass, and chat with Lizzy about vineyards, farming, and what it’s like building a small label in the Pacific Northwest.

No reservations needed—just swing by the tasting room between 2 and 6 PM and join us for a glass (or a few). 🍷
