Four 91+ Point Wines from International Wine Report

Check us out! Jeremy Young of International Wine Report has just released his July 2025 reviews, awarding Love & Squalor four outstanding scores — all 91 points or higher — across our diverse portfolio.

From our mineral-driven 2021 Dry Riesling to our elegant 2021 Reserve Pinot Noir, these reviews highlight the consistent quality and distinctive character that define Love & Squalor wines. Young's notes capture everything we love about our approach: the way our Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir channels its volcanic terroir, how our Dry Riesling balances classic varietal character with Willamette Valley freshness, and the vibrant energy that runs through our entire lineup.

Not to brag (okay, totally bragging), but here's what Jeremy Young discovered in each bottle:

2019 Temperance hill Pinot Noir — 91 points

“The 2019 Love & Squalor Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir opens with a burnished ruby hue, channeling the cool elevation and volcanic soils of Eola-Amity Hills. Aromas of roasted cranberry and spiced rhubarb evolve with hints of dried herbs and damp forest floor, creating a layered and brooding introduction. On the palate, it pulses with freshness, framed by finely textured tannins and a lifted core of sour cherry and orange peel.”

2021 Dry Riesling, Willamette Valley — 91 points

“The 2021 Love & Squalor Dry Riesling from the Willamette Valley opens with a pale lemon hue, framed by a translucent rim. On the nose, classic Riesling signatures emerge quickly: a strong streak of petrol laced with lime peel, supported by undertones of white pepper and a subtle earthy hint of button mushroom. The palate leans firmly into grilled citrus and tart lime, riding a wave of bracing acidity.”

2021 Pinot Noir ReserveD — 92 points

“The 2021 Love & Squalor Reserve Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley leans into a richer expression, unveiling scents of black raspberry, cocoa-dusted plum, and worn cedar. Its palate is vivid and lifted, with energetic acidity driving flavors of blood orange and muddled red currant. Polished tannins frame the finish, which carries a bright edge and a touch of savory spice.”

2022 Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley — 92 points

“The 2022 Love & Squalor Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley opens with a fragrant lift of alpine strawberries and tart red plum, layered gently over hints of dried rose petals and forest.”
