Share & Pair - April 24-27 Featuring 2023 Sauvignon Blanc

"Share & Pair Sundays" is a campaign encouraging people to gather on Sundays to enjoy wine, food, and friends. At Portland Wine Company, we’re proud to participate in this initiative by pairing wine, food, and some of our favorite things to do in our beautiful city!

Come in Thursday-Sunday until JUNE to enjoy a ½ glass of our featured wine and a snack for just $12. We’ll also have weekly food specials. In the spirit of “Share & Pair,” bring a friend or two (or three!).

Share & Pair for Thursday, April 24 - Sunday, April 27

The Wine: 2023 Sauvignon Blanc

The first Friday of May is International Sauvignon Blanc Day, and we’re kicking of the festivities early! The Love & Squalor 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is already a best-seller because it’s a perfect balance of acid and fruit. Think juicy citrus (especially Meyer lemon) and just a touch of white Haribo gummy bear.

Paired Snack: Parmesan Garlic Potato Chips

Our staff diligently tasted a variety of potato chips (it was tough work!) to bring you this easy peasy perfect pairing. It’s bright and flavorful and the salty, savory chips bring out the wine’s Haribo gummy bear.

Winery Bar Food Special: Whipped Feta

Our whipped feta is a winery bar favorite because it goes well with every wine we’ve tried it with so far! But it’s particularly scrumptious with the bright acidity, citrus, and stone fruit notes in our 2023 Sauvignon Blanc.

A Pairing to Share at Home: Pasta Primavera

The PSU Farmers Market is officially open! So load up on fresh spring vegetables, invite loved ones over, and make a big bowl of pasta primavera.

Here is an easy, delicious recipe that you can make any night of the week:

  • Pasta PrimaveraPro tip: Before you add the broth in Step 3, add 1/2 cup of the Sauvignon Blanc and boil it down. Then add the broth and continue with the recipe.

Activity Pairing: Visit lan su chinese garden

Springtime is gorgeous across Portland, but especially at Lan Su Chinese Garden. This weekend, they’re hosting an exhibition on teaware around the world, live music, and a special waterside tea tasting.
