For those of you who have been following along, you know that Garageland is the cousin of our Love & Squalor line of fine wines. It is named in homage to all of the crafters and makers who toil over their passions behind non-descript roll-up doors in warehouse districts around the globe. Just like we do here at Portland Wine Company.
Garageland expanded into the world of rosé with this pale pink wine crafted from two youthful vineyard sites in the Willamette Valley. The Pinot noir was direct-pressed – tossed stem-and-all into our grape press – and gently squeezed. It was then fermented in tank to retain purity of fruit flavors and the crispness we all want from our summer quaffer. This year we’ve added a screw cap closure for convenience when you are at the beach or on the mountain.
Like all of our bottlings, this is a limited-production wine. We should have enough to get through the summer, but it will be fleeting. We will be offering it on tap from the cask at the tasting room.
